Traditionally, Advent means "arrival" and signifies the start of an event or the arrival of a person. In Christian communities around the world, Advent refers to a four-week season of remembering and celebrating the arrival of Jesus (the way shower) on Earth. Metaphysically, Advent refers to a season of hope, renewal, and change. It is a time away from the many obstacles that impede spiritual growth and to immerse ourselves in the one Presence. (unity.org/article/unity-and-advent-looking-inward). This is an opportunity to begin each day of the Advent season in communal meditation to awaken to the Divine Consciousness within. Rob Ward, RScP, will open each morning with prayer, offer a short reading for reflection, move into a time of meditative practice, and close with a brief benediction. This meditation practice offers participants a sacred moment to “Immerse themselves in the Divine Presence during this season of hope, renewal, and change, and time away from the many obstacles that impede spiritual growth” during the business of the holiday season.
