The Big Leap: Conquer Your Hidden Fear and Take Life to the Next Level

The Big LeapThis class, instructed by Chris Johnson, RScP, is based on the book, The Big Leap, by Gay Hendricks. In this book, Gay introduces us to the one problem that keeps us from being all of whom and what we are meant to be. Each of us is a unique expression of the One Divine Life (or Spirit, God, etc.) and have a distinct set of talents and gifts that no one else can share with the world. So what is that "one problem?" Gay calls it the "Upper Limit Problem," and he tells us how to spot it when it shows up in our lives. Once we realize how the Upper Limit Problem works and how we react to it, we can choose to respond to our lives in more empowering ways. Gay invites us to contemplate the following questions:

The Conscious Parent: Transforming Ourselves, Empowering Our Children

The Conscious ParentJoin Diana Johnson, RScP, for an informative and transformative journey through parenthood. Make parenting a Spiritual Practice! Using Shefali Tsabary's book by the same title, this class offers an in-depth look at an innovative parenting style that recognizes the child's potential to spark a deep soul-searching, leading to a transformation in parents, which cannot help but transform the entire family experience. Once parents are learning alongside their children, power, control and dominance become archaic language. Instead, mutual kinship and spiritual partnership are the focus of the parent-child journey. This conscious approach to parenting allows children to serve as mirrors of the parent's forgotten self. Once a parent finds her/his way back to her/his essence, both parent and child awaken to the ability to relate in a state of presence. Grief Recovery" The Action Program for Moving Beyond Death, Divorce and Other Losses

Grief RecoveryShirley Wade led a group of us through a powerful healing process last summer around our issues of grief. It was an intimate group that shared deeply and was able to touch the grief with new tools of healing and gain insights that changed our perspective. We can each appreciate that grief is the normal and natural response to any significant, emotional loss. It is a journey that is unique to each individual coping with a loss, ranging from a divorce, death, one's health, to personal independence and for those trying to prepare for the loss of someone terminally ill. The Grief Recovery Method® is an eight-week program that "...provides the correct action choices that help people move beyond the pain caused by loss." Shirley Wade is a certified facilitator trained in the field of grief. As we look at our beliefs and patterns, we will explore the opportunity to take new actions to feel complete and whole again. We will be using The Grief Recovery Handbook: The Action Program for Moving Beyond Death, Divorce and Other Losses co-authored by John W. James and Russell Friedman, founders of the Grief Recovery Institute®. Please sign up in advance so we can prepare the workbooks for you. For more information, please contact Rev.
